Cd2Cu(PO4)2 is the sixth known member of a series of inorganic compounds having a Cu3(PO4)2-type structure and the general formula M12M2(XO4)2 (M1/M2 = Cd2+, Cu2+, Mg2+ and Zn2+; X = As5+, P5+ or V5+). The structure of Cd2Cu(PO4)2 is built up of two types of mutually interconnected chains, viz. [Cu(PO4)2]n chains and [Cd2O10]n double chains, both extending along the a axis.

Special and virtual issues

Acta Crystallographica Section C is planning special issues on

The Structural Chemistry of Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysts

NMR Crystallography.

Full details are available on the special issues page.

The latest virtual issue, featuring Coordination polymers and with an introduction by Len Barbour, was published in July 2014.
