Cover illustration: The crystal structure of the 1:1 benzamide cocrystal of the active pharmaceutical ingredient theophylline, a drug used for treating pulmonary diseases, was determined from synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction data. The compound crystallizes in the tetragonal space group P41 with four independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal structure was confirmed by dispersion-corrected density-functional theory (DFT-D) calculations. See Fischer, Schmidt, Greiser & Emmerling [Acta Cryst. (2016), C72, 217-224].
