how we use cookies

iucr_ref_lookup_yellow, iucr_ref_lookup_orange

Record visitor's preference for displaying hyperlinks to glossary terms in the Online Dictionary of Crystallography (yellow) and IUPAC Gold Book (orange). Persistent cookie.

iucrchublogin

Session cookie for logging into the Chub database (including World Directory, editors' pages etc.)

session_id

Session cookie used when visitors are requesting or paying for vouchers and open-access fees etc. on the shop.iucr.org site.

SQ_system_session

Session cookie set by the software we use to manage our web site and essential to its operation. No personal information is stored.

publbio_phpsessid

The session id is set when the visitor logs in to publBio. It is unique to that session and ensures that the server sends the appropriate pages to the browser that is hosting the session, and that any data uploaded by the visitor during that session is associated with that particular visitor. When the session is terminated (the visitor logs out or closes the browser), the session id is destroyed.

Third-party cookies

The IUCr web sites also include third-party applications to provide additional functionality to readers. The third parties mentioned below set cookies.

AddThis

AddThis cookies are set by the social media sharing service AddThis (http://www.addthis.com/privacy) which allows visitors to share content via social networking web sites and email.

Crossref
