Potassium molybdyl arsenate consists of AsO4 tetrahedra and MoO6 octahedra sharing corners to form a three-dimensional framework containing intersecting tunnels where the K+ ions are located. The covalent framework in KMoO2AsO4 is very similar to that in Ba(MoO2)2(PO4)2, Pb(MoO2)2(PO4)2, NaMoO2PO4 and KMoO2PO4.
