The crystal structure of GeTe2O6, a phase already known but previously indexed in the wrong unit cell and symmetry, has been determined from single-crystal data in the P21/n space group. It consists of a three-dimensional framework of isolated GeO6 octahedra connected only via isolated TeO3 units.

Li2Zn3(P2O7)2 has two symmetry-independent sites for Zn atoms; one is fully occupied and the other is disordered as Zn2+ and Li+ in a 1:1 ratio. [ZnO5] bipyramids build up infinite zigzag chains by sharing edges with each other. Half of the Li+ cations are disordered on Zn sites and the other half occupy symmetry-independent positions, with site-occupancy factors of 0.5.
