checkCIF/PLATON basic structural check

Welcome to the checkCIF/PLATON service, which is operated by the IUCr. You may use this form to upload files for a basic structural check.

This basic structural check contains a subset of the full checkCIF/PLATON tests and includes checks on:

CIF syntax and construction
Cell and geometry details
Space-group symmetry

A basic structural check will be carried out on all papers submitted for publication in IUCr journals. If you intend to submit to either Acta Crystallograhica Section C or Acta Crystallographica Section E, you should make sure that full publication checks are run on your CIF prior to submission.
