The Au24(S-C4H9)16 structure is composed of 13 Au atoms in a cuboctahedral core capped by three Au atoms. This Au16 core is protected by two monomeric staples, two trimeric staples, and four bridging thiolate ligands.

The solid-state structures of three new crystalline salts of creatininium, namely, the bromide, 3-aminobenzoate and 3,5-dinitrobenzoate, have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and Hirshfeld surface analysis. The structural chemistry of the salts and their crystal packing are discussed in detail.
