Acknowledgements

An early prototype of the toolkit was developed as part of a work-experience project with Tim Murray, a high-school student. Steve Cook provided the idea of displaying slices through different crystal planes. Simon Westrip solved a difficult issue regarding save functions. David Hoare helped with many JavaScript problems. Significant improvements to the user interface are due to Frieda Reichsmann, Rolf Huehne, Bob Hanson and Alan Hewat. Other members of the Jmol community have helped, knowingly or unwittingly, through their enthusiastic involvement on the jmol-users mailing list or by providing model applications. Many valuable suggestions have been received from the IUCr journal editors. I am grateful to all these people for their help and input.
