Cover illustration: In this isobenzofuran derivative, C-HO hydrogen bonds link the molecules into ladders whose uprights form C(7) chains and whose rungs enclose R₂²(28) rings. The molecular ladders generate a three-dimensional network by N-HO hydrogen bonds and C-H [pi] interactions. See Odabasoglu & Büyükgüngör [Acta Cryst. (2007), E63, o22-o24].
