Acta Crystallographica Section F, Structural Biology Communications welcomes the submission of short articles covering all aspects of structural biology: reports of new structures; mutants of existing structures and the biochemistry to probe their activity or lack thereof; methods communications covering novel approaches as well as pipelines and graphical user interfaces communicating with existing software; first reports from early career researchers in receipt of structural biology training; crystallization reports and the techniques that underpin them; short commentaries on issues of interest to the community; and reports from structural biology meetings. Submissions to Structural Biology Communications should aim to have a maximum of 3000 words in order to maintain the journal's fast review times and make article preparation easy.
Videos are welcomed and will be actively promoted on social media and the IUCr YouTube channel. Selected papers, especially those involving early career researchers, are encouraged, supported and highlighted through video interviews with our Editors.
This learned society journal has an international Editorial Board with trusted expert reviewers. Articles are free to publish with no submission fees or page charges. Open access is optional, and it may be covered by a transformative deal with your institution.
