A new crystal structure of butane-1,4-diyl bis(trifluoromethane-1-sulfonate) [Bu(OTf)2] has been determined. The molecular and crystal structure were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction supported by computational studies. In the solid state, the structure is primarily stabilized by fluorine–fluorine and chalcogen interactions.
