Cover illustration: In the one-dimensional coordination polymer, [Cd(NCS)₂(C₄H₃ClN₂)₂]_n, the Cd atom is coordinated by two N-bonded and two S-bonded thiocyanate ions and two N-bonded 2-chloropyrazine ligands to generate a trans-CdS₂N₄ octahedron. The bridging thiocyanate ions generate [100] chains: the Cd-N-C [150.2 (2)°] and Cd-S-C bond angles [96.53 (11)°] are very different. See: Wöhlert, Jess & Näther [Acta Cryst. (2013). E69, m195].
