Cover illustration: The non-centrosymmetric structure of [Cd(ClO4)2(C15H18N4)4] contains an octahedrally coordinated Cd(II) atom with two trans monodentate perchlorate and four 1-(2-pyridyl)-4-(4-pyridylmethyl)piperazine (pmpp) ligands. The structure is organised in layers parallel to (001) which are held together by C-HO interactions. These layers stack in an AB pattern along by a different C-HO pathway.
