Cover illustration: The compound C60H76Si2 possesses inversion symmetry and is formally an anti-aromatic system containing 20-[pi] electrons. It contains a rare [pi]-xylylene motif, which is displayed by alternating short and long bonds. The outer rings of the indeno[1,2-b]fluorene system possess nearly homogenous bond lengths. In the crystal, the molecules form layers perpendicular to the c axis and within these layers there are two one-dimensional stacks with one stack having an sp2...sp2 C...C contact of only 3.283 (6) Å.
