Cover illustration: In this novel organotellurium compound, the TeIV atom is in a distorted -trigonal-bipyramidal geometry, with the lone pair of electrons projected to occupy a position in the equatorial plane, and with the Cl atoms mutually trans. Close intramolecular TeBr and intermolecular TeCl interactions are observed and contribute to the distortion of the coordination geometry.
