Cover illustration: Iron-diphosphine complexes have provoked much research interest because of their ability to coordinate molecular nitrogen. In the compound [FeCl2(C14H32O4P2)2] the iron(II) atom is octahedrally coordinated by two trans-standing Cl atoms in apical positions and by the P atoms of two 1,2-bis(dimethoxyethylphosphino)ethane ligands in equatorial positions.
